Product Description Mr. Gasket Micro Electric Fuel Pumps eliminates vapor lock and flooding. Micro electric fuel pump works well as a fuel transfer pump and makes a great stand-alone or booster pump. It comes with a self-priming pump with simple two-wire design. Micro electric fuel pumps works on 12 volt negative ground systems only. It also includes fittings and mounting hardware along with easy to follow DIY instructions. Pumps require approximately one amp average draw at maximum delivery. It is a universal design for most domestic 4, 6, and 8 cylinder carburetor applications.

Mr. Gasket fuel pump for Chevy truck. July 3, 2010 Robert Waldrip (Lakeside Ca.) I put this in my old Chevy 58 pickup and it started right up, it is working very well.
Dont use for Diesel! June 28, 2010 skark_burmer (San Jose, Ca) I always laugh when i see that huge disclaimer on the packaging. Like the sky is going to fall or something if you get it near diesel.
I dont know why its there as i have been using these pumps for the last 8 or so years, and only in a 100% diesel environment. This is to include all the way from 100% bio-diesel, 100% SVO and 100% #2 diesel and mixtures of all three in a dizzying array of quantities.
One word of caution though. Ditch the joke of a filter that the pump comes with, and place this pump after a real fuel filter. You'll be amazed the garbage floating in your tank, the stock "filter" will clog easily and you'll choke off your fuel supply. If you put it after a 10 micron filter, you'll have no problem for years and years.
You'll also want to mount the pump on some sort of rubber isolators, cause if you just slap it on your fender liner the noise will get old in a hurry.

This is by far the worst part in automotive history. I like the others in the previous comments bought one and had it sitting for a few weeks after purchase. When i went to install it. It ran for a bit, after minute was over Complete silence. It died faster than you can say Micheal Jackson. Do your self a favor don't buy Mr Gasket anything.
Mr. Gasket Electric Fuel Pump April 10, 2009 Walt Jennings (USA) I use this pump for transferring gas to and from my boats, and it works as advertised at +/- 40 gph.
It says 12" but it was probably measured by a man. August 15, 2008 W. Thomas 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I installed this pump level to the BOTTOM of my fuel tank, up front. It says to install within 12" of bottom HEIGHT. Doesn't mention distance from tank. I figured that it should be fine. Nope!! This thing has problems with being on a hill. If you have to park on the slightest incline be prepared to roll, push or winch to get pointed downhill so the pump primes itself. This also needs to be mounted on rubber feet because if it runs dry, from sitting on an incline, it literally sounds as though a tiny jackhammer is pounding on your vehicle. Trust me, it's loud and takes forever to prime itself, provided you're pointing downhill!
